Party Giveaway!!

Does anyone else ever hit that post-Christmas slump? This year has actually been better for me than years past, mostly because I'm so preoccupied with house-hunting right now (that's right, I'll be in Louisiana for another 3 years--which means, Kristen and Betsy, that we'll have plenty of time to hang out when you come to visit your mom!) But yeah, if you talked to me 2-3 weeks after the holidays last year, I definitely needed a little cake and party pick-me-up and I did NOT want to have to plan anything extravagant.

One of my favorite features is that it lets you plug in information about your party (particularly birthday parties) and then matches you up with menus, themes, cakes, shopping lists, to-do lists, invitations, decorations, favors, etc. It is truly a lifesaver for people like me who honestly didn't know I was supposed to bring plates and napkins to celebrate my kid's birthday at school--I need all the party help I can get!

I love the cake ideas here because they are so easy. There are tons of pictures, illustrations, and even videos that will help you get through the bumpy patches of your cake decorating experience (and, let's face it, when I'm involved, cake decorating has more bumpy patches than not--it is NOT one of my gifts!)
