The Silhouette shouldn’t be foreign to you by now- we’ve given them away before and you guys keep asking for more, so here you go!

Are you noticing something different in that picture?  Just this month, Silhouette launched a brand new machine.  They still have the awesome CAMEO:

But now there’s another option for those of you interested in something a little smaller, the Silhouette Portrait:

Just like the image says, the new Portrait is a little smaller in price and size, but still makes all the amazing things the CAMEO does.  You can see a comparison of the two machines by clicking here.

Both machines connect to your computer, where you can design graphics, images, text, and more, and the the machine itself actually cuts those things with a tiny blade.  Obviously it cuts paper for cards, scrapbooking, and papercrafts:

and vinyl, for home decor and crafts:

But what I’m loving even more these days is all of the unique things I didn’t even realize my Silhouette could do at first!  They can cut fabric (how cute is this??)

and all sorts of other materials for fun and unique projects for your home and family.

Silhouette always has adorable advent calendar ideas, I love this one:

And one of my favorite uses for my own machine has been the Sketch Pens.  Silhouette makes colorful little pens that you can use in place of the blade so it actually draws the designs instead of cutting them.

Are you wowed, amazed, and inspired yet?  Good!  If you want to see more amazing Silhouette prprojects, follow them on Pinterest. (And if you’d like to follow us too, find our info here.)

One lucky Our Best Bites reader will get their choice of either a Silhouette CAMEO ($299.99 value) or a Silhouette Portrait ($199.00 value)!  They’ll also get the new Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software.

Both Silhouettes ship with the following important items:

  • Silhouette electronic cutting tool
  • Silhouette Studio® software for Windows XP and higher, and Mac® OS X 10.6.8 and higher plus Silhouette Studio Designer Edition
  • 50 exclusive cuttable designs
  • Power cable, USB cable
  • 12″ cutting mat (CAMEO) or 8″ cutting mat (PORTRAIT)
  • Cutting blade
  • $10 gift card to the Silhouette Online Store
  • Basic Instruction Guide

    Britney L. says:

A week ago we had a heart attack scare in the family. My mother in law was making dinner and nearly scared us all to death by having a close call with a heart attack. She is fine, but it really made me grateful for my family that I have with me.
AND on a less somber note… The crafting would not cease (well it might because I have kids, and I have to shower/eat/sleep sometime) if I won. I love the advent calendar. That would probably be first. Thanks for doing the giveaway. You ladies make my day!

I am most grateful for my family and friends. I am a college student who is finally starting to see the light at the end of a long tunnel lol. I am also grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community who has helped me turn my passion of crafting into something more than just a hobby by helping me open up my first online shop. I am grateful for my parents, who will be celebrating their 29th wedding anniversary on the day this contests ends (on the 25th!) for always being there for me :)
