But now there’s another option for those of you interested in something a little smaller, the Silhouette Portrait:
Just like the image says, the new Portrait is a little smaller in price and size, but still makes all the amazing things the CAMEO does. You can see a comparison of the two machines by clicking here.
Both machines connect to your computer, where you can design graphics, images, text, and more, and the the machine itself actually cuts those things with a tiny blade. Obviously it cuts paper for cards, scrapbooking, and papercrafts:

But what I’m loving even more these days is all of the unique things I didn’t even realize my Silhouette could do at first! They can cut fabric (how cute is this??)

And one of my favorite uses for my own machine has been the Sketch Pens. Silhouette makes colorful little pens that you can use in place of the blade so it actually draws the designs instead of cutting them.

I am grateful for SO many things. It’s truly difficult to pick just one. I’d have to say the first thing that comes to mind is being grateful for is my family, both immediate and extended. They make my life what it is.
The first thing I would make would be vinyl. I want to decorate my home with it and I want to find a vinyl that will work well for making my husband’s military unit’s insignia for putting on my back windshield to show my pride.

A week ago we had a heart attack scare in the family. My mother in law was making dinner and nearly scared us all to death by having a close call with a heart attack. She is fine, but it really made me grateful for my family that I have with me.

I am thankful for a God who loves me even with all my flaws, my husband, my awesome children, my precious grandson, and my little princess who will join our family in January! I would love to use the Cameo to make vinyl letters to use in both Grandkids rooms! Thank you!
I am grateful for the diversity of people out there, where they come from, what they know, their experiences, and what they share with me. I would make cards, crafts, and all sorts of things for current and future students. (I teach piano, and taught School)
Thankful for family and freedom in Christ–was baptized today! :) I would love to use the colored pens…didn’t know they even existed! I would make some things to go on my empty walls in my house.

I am thankful for my family and friends. Life is too hard to go at it alone. Family and friends make hard days easy. I would have to say I am most excited to make some fabric flowers and cards
I am thankful for my family, my health, and my faith. Even though I just gave birth to a sleeping baby I am grateful God has given me the strength to go on and still be here to raise my other daughter. I would love this to make keepsakes of my baby and other grieving parents.

Okay, I guess I should have read the rules more carefully! THat’s what happens when you get excited. . . I am most grateful for my husband who honors and supports me through this crazy time of life. I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to raise six boys without the love and help he gives me.

I am thankful that my 5 girls are healthy enough to fight with eachother…and laugh with eachother! My very first creation with my new Silhouette would DEFINITELY be advent calendars for each of them. :)

With 3 small kids, I am very blessed to have such great friends to help out with the little things in life, since our family is hundreds of miles away. I am feeling thankful this weekend for my family’s generally good health. My 3 kids and I have had a sore throat/cold thing going on all week, and it’s times like this that make me realize how blessed we are to not have more serious health problems and even more blessed that we don’t usually have any problems at all. Along that same vein, I’m thankful that my husband can worthily give us priesthood blessings that are such a help. As for this awesome machine, I would make something my husband has in mind for his seminary classroom. Crafting fun, fun, fun!
This has been a year full of many blessings that I’m thankful for. My kids got a scholarship and now the are attending to an amazing Christian Academy. Also I found my passion for baking and Im in my last class to become a Pastry Chef. My family is healthy and we all have Jesus Christ our savior in our hearts. Thank You Our Best Bite, for been such an inspiration of good hearts and women entrepreneur.
This week I am VERY thankful that my hubby is home for Thanksgiving with our 5 little boys and I and not deployed!! I would love this machine…being military we move quite a bit and it would be awesome to be able to use this to make all of our houses look and feel more like a home.

I am so thankful this year that we have been able to visit our family which lives 2,000 miles away THREE times this year.
